stumonster
"Intesat reported a few days ago that its IS-804 Satellite is lost in space. According to the press release, the '[...] satellite experienced a sudden and unexpected electrical power system anomaly on January 14, 2005, at approximately 5:32 p.m. EST that caused the total loss of the spacecraft.' The satellite was in charge of the South Pacific's media delivery. As a reminder, Intelsat-7, another satellite from Intelsat, got lost a couple of months ago." thx slashdot.org Here is a image of the coverage area of the satellite has anyone had satellite reception problems in the last couple of days? cresstt
here's the correct url http://www.intelsat.com/resources/coverage...174&spot=global I've no clue what satellite I'm on, all that I know is that it is extremely slow for a 1024/256 package and it's getting worse these few days. I also know that the installer guy had a lot of trouble getting signal and getting the IPX modem to login when he was here last Wednesday 13th Jan 2005. I cant check the signal since I dont know how to go to the mgmt console of the IPX-5100. Edited January 19, 2005 by cresstt
