HI

My friend in UK is asking me for advice. What do you think? He would like to buy a piece of land in Thailand and develop it as a naturist resort – mainly for European people. He did ask at the Thai Embassy in London and they told him that basically they don’t know if it would be tolerated or not. Apparently it is up to a local police to decide. Obviously he does not want to invest money into a project, if it would be closed down soon after. What do you think?

No Chance , forget it . If and i mean IF they said yes then it did not go down too well they are not adverse to moving the goal posts at any time , you could be seriously out of pocket . Remember most Thais frown on that sort of thing .

If god had meant us to be nudists, we would have been born without clothes!

Oh, we were.

I personally have nearly nothing to hide when I am at a nudist beach - so many people have negative attitudes to naturism, under our clothes we are all the same.

A couple of years ago we stayed in Kho Chang at the Lagoona at the very Southern end of the island. The place where they have old barges converted in to bungalows. Lovely place and a kilometer long deserted beach.

We met the owner (a Thai), probably because we were the only guest and we talked about business etc.

He said he had plans to make part of the beach a nudist camp. When we asked him if that was possible in Thailand, he said if shielded away and private access guaranteed, if was possible.

Well, we returned lately but the place was unchanged.

Maybe he was afraid the police could raid the place and accuse him of running a swinger's party :o

(But then again you don't need a beach for that; a hotel room will do.)

I think it would be possible to run a naturist resort. But to be on the safe side, just ask your guests to wear clothes...

Some resorts are known to host swingers party almost exclusively. As long as it is private, shielded, accessible to members only, and the owner is well acquainted, I don't think it can be a problem....But I might be wrong !!

You may want to contact www.ThailandNaturist.com for information.

I'm sure he would get the business but like some of the guys said will the Thais tolerate it.

There are plenty of western women who don't like having tan lines. :)
