Phitsanulok-where To Renew Retirement Visa

Featured Replies

Where is the nearest immigration office from Phitsanulok for renewal of O-A non immigrant retirement visa and for 90 day reporting. I am moving to Phitsanulok from Chiangmai. In CM they told me to go to Mae Sot. Has anyone actually done this? Does anyone know the address for mailing 90 day report to Mae Sot? Are they helpful and speak English in Mae Sot?. Where in Mae Sot is the office for visa renewal? I have always done this in CM and the service is great but I am apprehensive about changing. I would appreciate any insight.

This is the list for Immigration Checkpoints. Yes you have to go to Nan.

I had first experience with Nan immigration three weeks ago. Now I appreciate the service in Bangkok that I previously thought was terrible. After spending the night in local hotel, arrived at office at 0930 and departed with date to return to pick-up visa in a month at 1430. Yes, five hours to process two farangs from Phitsanulok requiring Thai wife non-immigrant visa extensions. Oh yes, to be fair; they did process approximately ten re-entry permits during this time. Limited staff, inexperienced for the most part and very inefficient.

Make sure you take multiple copies of everything as they do not process the extensions in Nan, everthing is sent to Ching Mai for processing (not sure about retirement visa extensions) sooooo, you have to make/have two sets of documents for them. I have to return there on the 7th (lucky me) and will ask if retirement visa extensions can be achieved in one trip to Nan. If so, next year I will change to a retirement vs. Thai wife visa/extension.

It is my understanding that 90 day notifications now have to be sent to Nan from us living in Phitsanulok.
