I am living in a rented house for a year. The bedrooms are carpeted and I want to remove this and replace it with Cushion Floor or something similar because it will be more hygienic. I have looked at tiles, which would be lovely but do not want to spend that much as I am here a short time. The landlady has agreed and suggested Home Pro and Home Mart - but they don't sell it. Does anyone know where I can buy this kind of flooring?

Can you be a little more specific.

I have been in construction all my life (from houses, to high rise, along with civil construction) and have never heard of "cushion floor"

I know that there is a lot of stuff out there (that I have not heard of) but what are you talking about, a thick type of linoleum or what ??

Sorry.. it must be a UK thing.. yes, a thick type of linoleum. It comes on a roll like linoleum but is not as stiff. Its used in kitchens and bathrooms in the UK and is very hard wearing and water proof. I want something I can wash and keep clean as I sometimes foster dogs and cats..

I don't know if I have seen that in my travels but then again I have never gone looking for it either. 'sorry'

Thanks for replying anyway, it was worth a try before I shell out for tiles...

Product made for people who seem to have more of a "shuffle" than an actual "gate" or whose "get up and go, got up and went" no,no, they do make it and even make hardwood flooring with a bit of padding and thats what I thought he was refering to but then would it qualify to down the hardwood aisle? The answers we have to deal with as has beens is tough. Don't know how we fit it all in. Another old beat up construction hand.
