Reporting To Department Of Labour Thailand

Featured Replies

two years ago, as we were awaiting our flight back to israel, the flight desk told anon that he had to have gotten some kind of 'permission' slip/stamp from the dept of labour from his hometown changwat (korat in this case). we of course were in suvanaphum airport.... and anon spent an hour of time before the departure time running around and weing and pleading his case to some offcials who finally gave him the 'permission' w/o going back to korat and missing flights.

question is, will he again need this when leaving thailand this time round coming back to israel. it has nothing to do with israel, but internal thai affairs. apparently since he is a 'foreign worker' here (israel) he needed to register with the DOL. howver, now, he is in israel as temporary resident, will he need to do this again.

and yes, last time we asked the consulate and they never mentioned this either so no use in asking as left and right hands dont speak to each other .... who can we ask, to save time and energy and not creating new financial problems by actively searching out the DOL offices/permissions?

I am not sure about your case, but Foreigners with ED visa (education) need to go to the immigration offices in BKK to get a re-entry permit, Thats probably what he needs.

It only cost 1000b for 1 time and 3800 for multiple.

Just check it out, they an information desk by the front..good luck
