simon43 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Regarding the requirement to register the birth at the Amphur within 15 days, I know (from experience with some close friends), that if you miss this 15-day deadline, then you can probably still register the birth at the Amphur by obtaining a police report which explains why you couldn't register in the 15-day period, (eg you were upcountry or something), then take that report to the amphur, smile, (smile lots), and they will probably complete the registration for you Simon
halfhead Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Thanks for the replies, Well we have a birth cert for the baby signed by my girlfriend we called the tesebaan and they said we have to go to the court in Chiang Rai and then come back to them to make me the legal father(they said baby to young to sign herself), I give up Cheers

Your only option now is to petion the court and ask to be recognised as the father. Since the mother agrees it shouldn't be problem, other then costing you and taking some time.
