Just about ready to do the annual trip to Regent House for my GF VV.

Now you have to pay the fee by Bankers Draft, I am a bit uncertain.I am sure that I have read somewhere that there is actually a bank in Regent House that will do a B Draft. If this is right can someone give me directions. If not, where is the nearest bank that will do them.Unfortunatly, we cannot get one before we arrive in Bangkok and as we are on a tight schedule on the day we propose to submit the application, I would like it to try and sort this out as smoothly as possible.

Thanks for your help

From Visa Application Fees

The applicant has the option of pay their fee by :

A 'Cashiers Cheque'or 'Bankers Draft' from ANY BANK in Bangkok,

A 'Cashiers Cheque' from any of the 25 select branches of the Bank of Ayudhya that offers the free surcharge option..

A 'Bankers Draft' from any Branch of the Bank of Ayudhya located out of Bangkok city that is not listed in the 25 select list of branches

A 'Bankers draft' from any Bank in Thailand that is located out of Bangkok city

You say that this is an annual trip; so she has regularly visited the UK in the past? It may be worth applying for a longer term visia, possibley up to 10 years. It costs a bit more, £205 against £65, but it could save you money in the long run.

It took me and the missus no more than 10 minutes to get the bankers draught sorted at Regent House.I think any bank in bkk will do it..

There is a shop right net to the visa application centre on the second floor which will sell you a cheque which is accepted in the VAC,I think it cost us about 200 baht but it saved running around banks.I did this middle of last month so this is a current practice.

I got my Draft done in the Main Ayyudhya bank on Ploenchit Road, not far from Regent house. There is no fee there at all. just walk in, mention casheirs cheque or bankers draft for the british embassey to reception and they will have a form prefilled ready for you. Took 5 minutes.
