drysdan
Does anyone know the story with the new yellow lines that have been painted on Loi Kroh road? They just went down in the last couple days... They're just off-center on the road... Surely they're not going to make that narrow little street a two way? That would be insanity... Anybody got the inside scoop on what's going on? Ulysses G.
I would think that they are bicycle lanes, but they seem too big.

Rasseru
Limits for the Songkran revelers. You mean, people on one side of the street will be able to revel only to the yellow line, likewise those on the other side? Think it will work?
Ulysses G.
A very competant staff member says that they are bicycle lanes according to Thai radio. Edited April 5, 2009 by Ulysses G.
drysdan
Wow. So bike lanes then. For real? And on Loi Kroh, of all the streets? This lovely town just gets curiouser and curiouser... Seriously though? A bike lane? On a 2 meter wide street that always has cars and motobikes parked on one side? Do they really think drivers will stay out of it? No wait. Stop asking questions. I know....
Ulysses G.
Maybe that is why the bike lane takes up so much of the road (to make up for parked vehicles)?
cmsally
Maybe a line so the police can test who can drive in a straight line over Songkran. Veer off the line and you are fined. Must have really been using the old brain cells for them to think that one up.
orang37
Yellow lines demarcating generous space inside Lowly Kraw ? For bicycles ? The mind goggles, gaggles, at the idea of anyone, anywhere, anytime, respecting bicycles in LOS even if lit up like discotheques, or with sirens on stun. Could they be position markers for the sundry street-vendors selling stinking-squid-shoe-leather (aka plaa meuk) and such ? ~o:37;
nicksal37
Good point cmsally but what if you have to swerve to hit a drunken farang water thrower ? Does that count?
