Until May I have a valid 1 year marriage visa. Just received a one year work permit. What other 1 year visa can I get (if I don't want to go the marriage visa route because of marital problems). R.

Are you talking about a visa or extension of stay? A Non-Immigrant visa is required in order to be granted a work permit. Extensions of stay can be based on a number of things; marriage, retirement and working are the usual ones.

If you qualify for extension of stay on employment basis you can use that. If not you will probably have to obtain non immigrant B visas. If you/employment qualifies a multi entry may be available but that are much harder to obtain at present than in the past at local consulates.
