hotshot
Just returned from my 2nd meeting with my Kasikorn Bank. Seems they are not able to explain in proper English what kind of docs they need from me to open a company bank account. At the first meeting they asked me to "apply by letter"....so I did... But the "application" was sort of wrong. And I couldn't get any explanation! The bank officer jsut showed me an application in Thai language....but I canot read Thai! So does anyone know what this "application letter" must contain???
Indo-Siam
You need a memorandum of shareholders' meeting, designating the specific branch at which an account will be opened, and appointing director(s) who will have signature authority over this account. This is a protective measure to protect companies. Thsi way, no one in the company can secretly open an additional company bank account (into which checks payable to the company could be deposited), without shareholders knowing about it. For a small fee, my company prepares such memoradums - we already have the format set up. Good luck!
