jimmi
I got a Double entry tourist visa. Stayed for 58 days then returned to the U.S. A week later I returned to Thailand on the same tourist visa (the second entry for my double entry). I stayed 60 days + 30 day extension. The extension runs out in 7 days. What are my options to stay two more weeks? Can I go to Nong Khai and cross the boarder for a 15 day visa or did I already use up the 90 days out of 180 rule. Would I then have to go up to Vientiane Laos and get a tourist visa? I have never been to Vientiane Laos. If I have to go that route is it easy to get a tourist visa there? InterestedObserver
There is no more 90 in 180 rule, abolished several months ago. You can do 2 border runs (15+15) or get another Tourist Visa. Vientiane would be ok, do you know that tourist visas are free for awhile. jimmi
WOW, I didn't know they did away with the 90/180 rule. I missed that. Thanks, I guess I will do a 15 day visa run as that is all I need this time. Thanks!

jimmi
I think this is the first glimmer of hope where Thai Visa regulations actually improved. Maybe all hope is not lost. I will continue to have a positive outlook on the visa situation in Thailand. I wish us all good fortunes. I hope the situation continues to improve!!! lopburi3
Actually you only need to cross border one time for the two weeks that you say you need. You will get a 15 day stay on return.
