Re-entry And Work Permit

Featured Replies

I was working w/a work permit, paying 2,000 bht a month taxes....left for the U.S. on a Re-entry permit in December, have paid my taxes for January and febuary, have not paid since then....I wish to return to the kingdom in a week or so,my question is....when arriving at the airport, will they let me back in on a Visa on arrival,or will they want the 2months of taxes or not let me enter at all? i assume the work permit has been cancelled, and visa revoked....i had a non B good until feb 2009...my agent says i can return if i just pay the taxes but i dont completly trust him.....i wish to stay a long time and am looking for work, should i just do the V.O.A. and then worry about another non B later or try to get one from the states? Thank you for your time

I don't think Immigration will be concerned with your tax status.

Besides, if you weren't here working why would you owe taxes anyway?? I'm guessing you agent wants you to pay your 'due' taxes to him to pay on your behalf????

Best get a non imm B before you arrive, or at least a multi entry tourist visa as they are only giving 15 days on land border visa runs these days (VOA)

Moved to Visas.

Don't worry about the taxes.

If you are not sure what you are going to do when you get here I suggest you get a tourist visa. That would give you 90 days (60 + 30 day extension) if you get a single entry. A single entry is free now.

Honorary consulates do mail in applications quickly. Use the pulldown menu at the top of this webpage for a list.

Your non B and also your WP is gone in any case because you did not reenter the kingdome before your Re-entry permit has expired. I think that the best will be that you apply for a new non B in the states.

Like posted already the immigration at the airport dosn't care about your taxes. The tax history you need if you want to get a 1 year extension of stay!
