A couple of months ago, my usual uTorrent started 'disappearing' torrents just as soon as they'd completed downloading :o Now they won't download at all (tried a ISOHunt/Vuze, but same same). Thought it might be my TOT connection, but friend who has wireless just started to have the same problem.

Anyone having similar experiences? Any solutions? Otherwise stuck with what's available on local cable channel and cds :D Thankyou.

Strange. How did it stop working? Do the downloads simply not start? Maybe you had a buggy version of uTorrent. Try downloading the latest client again and see if that helps. I'm not too crazy about Vuze, it's known to be a not so great client. Keep in mind that the internet tonight is pretty bad, seems True is having some problems, could be that ToT is going through the same thing.

probably fake/trash torrents that are corrupt. i only d/l stuff thats got good votes and comments verify that the torrent is legit ?

maybe even some weird virus, upload your utorrent exe to an online virus scanner to check it, the exe is small enough

I hate when you download 99% then it stops. This has been happening to me a lot.

At 99% a download is complete and the downloaded file is copied from the temporary download location to the location you/the program specified.

I suggest you clear the temporary files and see if that resolves the problem.

Download and run the free CC Cleaner and clean your PC. It does an excellent cleaning job!

Thanks for the link - although this seems to only apply to vuze. I've used uTorrent successfully until this started, already jettisoned the program and reinstalled - same same. Same problem with reinstalled vuze (no, I didn't like it much , but that hasn't worked either.

Someone's told me my router might be bricked? Although why this is happening to a friend with a wifi connection also, I really don't know. I looked up the brick thing and couldn't tell if it meant that the router was only a 'brick' with torrents, or with everything. All else on the net works fine.

I've usually downloaded average torrents, insofar as they have enough seeds so I'll get to view it before I'm dead, but not so many as it's swamped.

What do you more technologically advanced chaps think? Router? TOT have a larf?
