Have a remote from an older style UBC box but it won't work on this newer box.

Up/Down buttons on the UBC box only jump through the favourite channels (there ain't many of those!) not the whole range of channels.

Any idea's on how to navigate other channels or clear the favourites ?

Both tesco and big c sell the universal remotes for a couple of hundred baht. Or try any other remotes you have lying around the house. Good luck

If you have a compatible Nokia phone, you could install iRemote which will turn it into a multi purpose remote control. Always good to have a backup, and defiantly handy to watch what you want when at the pub.

Pop into any Amorn electronics shop (all over the country) and you can buy a new one for a few hundred baht.
