Tigerman1
Hi all I am building a house by the seaside in Thailand - Pattaya and I have a question. To gutter or not to gutter? If so, how much is guttering in Thailand? My builder says I don't need it but to be safe I think I should have it. Any comments? Thank you. Crossy
But do remember that it RAINS here, the poxy stuff we get in the West would become overwhelmed in an instant
Rimmer
Best to fit guttering as constant water dripping in the same place around the house can unsettle the footings on the columns. The larger steel size from the road side contractors is 220 a meter and the smaller one about 180 a meter. IF my memory serves me correctly. If you should want to paint over the galvanised finish use ordinary acrylic paint. On no account use oil based or fancy steel paint as this will bubble up and peel off with the heat build up on the steel surface.
