Dear friends,

It would be of tremendous help if anyone could specify the true meaning of the name Budsarin in the Thai language. I have been in vain trying to source out the real definition but to no avail. I'm now seeking anyone's help on this matter while it is much appreciated.

Thank you.

There are many possibilities for how this might be spelled/pronounced in Thai, but there's one I found that might be it: บุษรินทร์, buśrindra, pronounced 'butsarin' in Thai.

The roots here are บุษร and อินทร์. I think บุษร probably means "sapphire" (cf. บุษย์ and บุษราคัม), but I'm not certain; and อินทร์ means Indra. So it might mean "Indra's sapphire" or "indra's jewel".

But that could be the totally wrong Thai name. We really need the Thai spelling to be more certain.
