May 10, 200917 yr I have to go to Paris in July - my departure date can be between 27 June and mid-July. I would want to stay there a few weeks - certainly less than a month. I was shocked by the high prices I am finding - presumably because of european school holidays. As it happens I have an insistent invitation from a friend in LA to visit. And this made me wonder whether I should consider buying a 'round the world' ticket BKK-Paris-LAX-BKK - adding a couple of other cities en route. As an alternative to buying a separate Paris-LAX return in Paris. I would really appreciate helpful advice. As I mentioned my priority is to be in Paris for at least 15 days of July. It would be great if I could d the LA trip at no great additional cost. Good agents (Chiangmai or if necessary in BKK), specific tips, etc. I am not a frequent traveller from Thailand.
May 10, 200917 yr Possibly would be a good option. from my experience, it always seems cheaper to fly east!!!!!!!!!
May 11, 200917 yr I have used both Star and one world for RTW trips and found it best "you have to keep going in the same direction" but I stopped in more cities. Any agent or the net will give you the answer. Often more flexible as well within 1 year.
