Hi guys (and gals),

I have just started to play around with creating HDR in PS CS4 but I cannot find how to make a JPG-file from .psd or .tif.

Someone that can help me?

Thanks !

From a .psd go to >layers>flatten image (creates a .Tiff)

Then goto file>save as>select drop menu in "format">select .jpg

Save to desktop or wherever you choose

Hope that helps

Hope that helps

Well, not really.

When I take up a photo in .psd or .tif that I have created as HDR in PS, then I can do nothing in "layers", they are all grey.

Is that only when I create somethin in HDR?

Are you reducing to 8 bit mode?

Hi svenivan,

I have not used PS, but ACDSee and it has 'Format Covert', does PS have the same feature? :)

Over to 'The Vulcan' on this one :D

Yours truly,

If your picture is 32bit depth (per channel) there is nothing much you can do, except working with exposure and few other controls.

Once you are fine with these controls, just convert into 8 bit (I think on menu image/mode) and once done you can work on layers and save a jpg as well.

However you will not anymore able to go down with exposure, unless you like your white to become grey.

Thank you guys!

Changing to 8-bit helped and I can save in any format !

I have "CS4 Photoshop for Dummies" (almost 400 pages ! ) but even that one is to complicated for me to understand! :D

Thanks again!
