HI there no you will need a Schengen Visa

Correct, and you should apply for your Schengen Visa at the visa section of the first Schengen country you intend to visit, then you are good for all the others.

For clarity, this means that you must apply for a Schengan Visa in Thailand and not apply in the UK if you have a tourist visa.
