Palm Seedlings (pups) Wanted

Featured Replies

I haven't the time to mess about with Palm seeds.

They are a PITA. :)

Does anyone have locations and possibly rough prices of Palm seedlings within 50kms of BKK?

Thanks,

gd

Out on the ring road there are quite a few large nurseries, have you checked them?

If you mean Route 9, no, not yet.

I'll probably rent a ute for 2 days as I'm looking for a dozen Cananga Odorata

& a dozen Magnolia Champaca

Michelia champaca

Thanks. :)

I have a cananga, not a beautiful plant but the scent is astounding, esp in the early evening. I tried growing a champaca once but it got eaten by bugs. Wish i could get the husband to drive up to bangkok to fill the truck up with plants but he is most uncooperative on that point :)

^^^^^^ :)

sbk, I don't suppose you know the Thai names for the campaca & cananga?

Cananga is Kradang nga

Champaca is, I think, Champa Khao.

Left my plant dictionaries in Thailand so had to stretch my brain to remember :)

^^^ ^^^ Thank you. :)

Thai-English plant dictionaries?

Well, its my little hobby, gardening. And over the years, I've bought a few books, as well as started my own notebook, listing Thai names, English names and latin names.
