Hi

my (Thai) friend built a room under a balcony that was made of low quality wood and it has some kind of insect that leaves behind piles of tiny little wood balls, I think.

The wood is painted already but in need of a new paint job.. We do not own the house so I am looking for a 5 year solution.

Is there anything I can do to treat the wood? Or is the only option some kind of suspended ceiling? Would be nice to finish up the room and use it...

Call the local exterminator and they will get rid of the termites but maybe the wood is beyond salvation
