my homepage has disappeared on firefox, iv already gone to tools/ options and changed to the required homepage, but when i go out then go back in www.27yoog.com comes back again as my homepage with yoog search as my search engine on the toolbar, when id already changed it to google search ?? can anyone advise ??

mine says "show your homepage" then i have http://www.cnn.com

you might make sure it says this at the top since there is a show a blank page option

yep, iv done that and it still gos back to yoog when i enter firefox

Second place I would look at is the Tools -> Add-ons dialog box for unusual add-ons. Just disable the suspicious ones and restart firefox. then see if it helped. You can then uninstall them when you had identified the trouble makers.

You have malware. This link is reported to remove it (13 step process).

Maybe this can help you (its FF2 but maybe applies to FF3 too)

Type in your browser address bar: about:config

Scroll to: browser.startup.page

Rightclick on it , choose reset.

open tools/options

don't change the tab: show my home page

in the home page box below: type your desired web address - click ok - close the window

report back if that didn't solve your issue
