Hey

Lived in CM since August, have only visited BKK to meet friends/family when coming to visit, then done the usual tourist places. Have been before a few years ago, but my partner has a 6 year old, so we haven't yet indulged in a night out.

We have a sitter for the weekend, and want to have a banging night out, and as its such a massive place, was wondering if anyone could give us a heads up of the hot and not places to go.

Thanks

hey man, if you into the mainstream, good guys type of nightlife you should checkout Nang Len in Ekkemai, or how about the most popular tourist discos Q Bar and Bed Supper Club, just google those and you'll find the info :)

Thanks!!!

would like somewhere that plays decent dance music [house/deep house, ambient, DnB] as it is really dry on the music front up here in CM. Want to have decent bender and dance. its our first weekend on the tiles for nearly a year!!

Is Bed uber trendy though? paeng mak mak?

I'd reccommend staying somewhere on Ratchada (Emerald Hotel or Chaophya Park Hotel) and go out to Royal City Avenue (RCA) which is only a short taxi ride away. Ratchada Soi 4 is another nearby option. Loads of clubs to choose from at both of these destinations.

Why not have a great night and visit that Issaan place/disco, good and cheap food and booze and plenty of room to dance.

Also many hot chicks to secretly look at and will cost you less than 1000 THB to get completely pissed including taxi money.

Where is this isaan place/disco that I keep hearing about?

Honestly I have never been able to get a straight answer to where its located, ramkamheang, Onnut, ekkamai. I have been told all these places.

As th OP. I recommend RCA, prives are not low but it is a strip of clubs, so if you dont like one, move on to the next. No cover charge.

Ratchada Soi 4 is ok (not my cup of tea) but its mainly locals and they play too much hip hop.

haha . we be on a nit noi budget.

anymore suggestions? sukhumvit a good area or not?

A cheaper hotel in the Ratchada area is Watana Mansion. It's very close to Suthisan MRT making travel easy. (Sukhumvit is 6-8 mins on MRT).

Sure, there are clubs in Sukhumvit and a good night out can be had, but if the budget's 'nit noi' then RCA maybe a better option as Sukhumvit can get rather expensive.

Isan disco/stage are many, just ask taxi driver to bring you to one. I think there are some near the Wong Wian Jai area but is has been a while since I went to one but it's great fun and sometimes a bit of fighting as well.

staying near kao san, as its cheap, but not going anyhwere near there, we hate that area with a passion.

gonna check out RCA, and parts of sukhumvit, maybe quickly duck into nana just to see what all the fuss is about...

last time we were in BKK, we went to a restaurant called bali laos, anyone know where this is??
