A restaurant owner was just said by his accountant that, in Thailand, he got to collect name and address of each of his customers and mention it on his check bills.

Of course, as it is a nutty and impossible task to do, his accountant is rewriting ALL of his bills with fictive names and addresses when issuing the monthly balance!

Is there anyone having precise information about such practice (collecting personal data on customers) or is it that the accountant went nut himself? :)

Thanks

Kind of. I know that waitresses always write "short, fat, hairy" on my bills as they take my order. I think they're being ironic.

You know PC, sometimes I read what I have just posted and think to myself - man - I am really the biggest a hole on TV.

Then, I come across one of your cybergems - and sleep much better at night. :)

Now you're making me blush.

If the customer requests an official tax receipt from the restaurant so he/she can claim it as a business expense, the receipt must have the registered name and address of the company (of the customer). This certainly does not apply for every customer - just the ones who want to claim it as a business expense.
