got a few latest movies,star trek,night at musuim ,140b per person or 80b nearer to the screen.seem to have most movies come there i go once a week.they change the movies on a thursday.very cheap and not busy ever.

The seats cost 120 baht each. They put the price up to 140 baht for a very short while, but rolled it back.

I think the "love seats" against the back wall are more, but given that the theater is never more than 1/3 full at the busiest, you could move there if you wanted to spoon during the movie.

The theater is very new, only a couple of years, but they don't play all the English-language films that come out (no theater does). Usually they have at least one English-language film running, but occasionally there will be only Thai films.

Maybe it's different now, but I have never had any success with the phone number.

They have revamped their Web site (Major Cineplex and generally it functions for Samui. Tick the right boxes and cross your fingers.

I just tried it to get the URL and it is working.

Oh, and each seat you pay for, you get a sticker for a card that has six spots to fill; fill all six and get a free bucket of popcorn and syrupy drink.

With the summer movie season here there should be no shortage of big Hollywood films. Just recently they had Star Trek, Angels & Demons and Wolverine all showing at once (along with a Thai film).

The new website has always worked for me - I've just have to make sure to scroll down to the results as it doesn't always go there automatically.
