I have an acer aspire 5000 that is well ot of warranty (bought in US 3 yrs ago).

The cpu fan has finally given out and completely nonfunction causing the laptop to continually shutdown on overheat.

Any reccomendations on best place in Phket to get the repair accomplished?

My first thought is the bottom floor of Big C in Phuket town.

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

Go to Acer Service in Phuket Town, their repair service is inexpensive and very reliable - I've taken out of warranty machines there and have been well satisfied. Located near the bus station on that very wide road that used to house the Honda dealership (sorry, don't know the name but not hard to find).

Dropped off on Friday and was not ready until the following Wed. The computers new fan works fine but they have managed to return the laptop to me with a nonfuctional battery. <deleted>?
