Pay visa fee at Post Office and receive receipt.

Take receipt to US Consulate early in morning, fill out forms (can download and fill out first if you like). Queue and submit application/passport and include supporting evidence that you will return to Thailand. This can include bank account information, family status, employment (good to have letter confirming vacation and job upon return), Land/home ownership and such. Believe US Embassy Bangkok may have a more complete list but basic is anything that can show she intends to return. Previous travel also helps in this regard so if old passports showing this would include. Then it is wait for short interview date and visa; which believe is a few weeks time now.

Interesting. I don't know exactly what she did in Thailand to get her visa but she was denied and told not to come back.

he has a good job bank accounts and property in BKK.

Thanks for the input though, it's appreciated...

Did this happen before or after you asked for information? If after do not believe her passport was even accepted for consideration in that time frame so would probably have been lack of documents and the feeling she was not being honest; but that is only guesswork and could be far wide of the mark. If happened earlier and she was refused at interview it must have been her case to return to Thailand was not considered real or she was caught bending the truth But as am sure you know that can only be a guess - but another guess is that she knows "why".
