Received a wireless Logitech mouse as a present, and it has stopped functioning after only a few months. There is a warranty sticker which says it is guaranteed for 2 years but it does not indicate which shop it was purchased.

I've done a search for Logitech Thailand, to no avail. Perhaps there is an authorized dealer here in Bangkok which honors warranty claims? Any leads very welcome.

Cheers!

There should be a sticker that tells u the name of the distributor. If not, goto panthip and check.

or better buy a new mouse, must be cheaper than all the efforts you made for one mouse. :)

I believe an official distributor in Thailand for Logitech is

Most any computer shop can order from this firm. You can contact them about warranty service for Logitech products.

Cheers for the suggestion, Mark. The logo is smudged and incomprehensible. If it were an ordinary mouse, I really would not bother.

Possibly a dumb suggestion - did you check the batteries?

Yes, one of the first things I checked. The computer detects the device but the cursor does not respond.

Having lived here in LOS for a while, I have realized that there is no such thing as a "dumb question". I was once asked if I wanted any cheese on my cheeseburger. :)

If its a bluetooth mouse like I have it sometimes looses the pairing with the PC and you need to go into you're bluetooth setup and reconnect it again. Mine has done this once when the batteries died.

Yes, it is a bluetooth mouse, and yes it has lost its pairing once or twice before which warranted an installation of the software that it came with. This time around, after changing to new batteries, it still is detectible to both laptops and the office desktop I tried it on. Problem is there seems to be a problem with the laser underneath because the cursor in the screen is unresponsive.

Sorry but how can you tell its the laser not working? On my mouse it has a new technology laser that is not visible to the eye. I agree if the cursor is not moving and you're sure it's paired then there is an issue an issue. The mouse is model M-RCQ142 and I don't use the software that came in the box just the Dell Bluetooth software drivers and Windows.

Have you used other bluetooth devices on these computers? Any connection/operating issues? I read that not all bluetooth software and drivers is created equal.

Hi.

Just bring it to Panthip and walk into any random shop that sells Logitech products. They will point you to the service center which is somewhere in the back of the 3rd floor (at least it was there early last year). It's NOT a Logitech service center or signed as such, but one from the distributor (Synnex?) and they handle all warranty claims regardless where the item was actually bought.

I have one Logitech mouse (with cable, optical) that i purchased in 2005 or so. Early last year it broke (not the cable, something with the electronics). I still had the receipt (5 years warranty!) so i wanted to go back to the shop where i bought it back then - didn't exist anymore (which happens often in Panthip with smaller shops).

I was escorted to said service center, left my mouse there to have it checked, bought a new mouse (same model, i just love that one) and went home.

Few days later i got a call to pick up my mouse - i went and was given a brand new one for free, same model again.

Meantime i got another one of the same (they come now in a set along with a keyboard for 590 Baht) so mouse-wise i'm set for the years to come (that particular mouse just fits my hand in a comfortable way, i love to work with it, got the same one at the office too).

Best regards.....

Thanh

Yes, Synnex is the distributor in Thailand. I bought mine from the retail portion called Wattana in Rayong but they have shops all over.
