I came across a new medical clinic recently. This is run by Dr Nisachon Morgan. It is located on Hang Dong Road, 400m from Tesco Lotus on the opposite side, direction Hang Dong. Full praise - the Doctor has an outstanding command of English, is thoughtful, has a friendly manner, is a good listener and overall inspires confidence. Does annual medical at half the price of Ram IV with all the same tests. Just means for some of the tests being driven to a bigger clinic with all the equipment. These are done promptly and efficiently - less than half day for all the tests followed by full analysis and discussion a day or two later. My wife and I are very pleased with the service. Could be a good option for those living this side of city with general practitioner type needs. Telephone is 053 804405.

They are different. On opposite side of road, about 1 km away from Klaimor towards Hang Dong. Coincidentally the Doctor used to work at Klaimor.

Maybe you know if that doctor left because he found out that Klaimor is the biggest cheat in town? (Call themselves a hospital but it is no more than a first aid post with ridiculous prices for farang)

Yes we agree,we have nothing but praise for Dr Morgan she is one of the best doctors the my wife and myself have been treated by including the UK.She is very proffesional and thorough,i would recommend her practice to anyone.You will get nothing but first class treatment from her.

I'd be interested in using this clinic for a physical the next time I come to C.M. If anyone uses this clinic in the meantime, please post your comments here. When I broke my arm 3 years ago, a clinic near the 3 Kings Monument, which was run by an orthopedic surgeon from Ram, did not recommend surgery (as an orthopedic surgeon in Bangkok did). It took another 8 month to re-hab the arm but the doctor saw me about once a month during that time and the arm is as good as new. since just about everything else has been stated, what are her clinic hours? Maybe she still works at Klaimor and has the clinic on the side?

Any idea on cost ? Klaimor, for a 60 year old, charge 5320 baht , RAM 5969 baht were the prices I obtained for similar check ups.

Following your post I arranged a consultation with Dr Morgan and the following day undertook a complete medical something I have be putting off for a while.

The only checks which were not done in her clinic were ultrasound and Chest Xray where a driver picked me up ,took me to a clinic specialising in same and delivered me back accompanied by one of Dr Morgans staff. The following afternoon a full one hour explanation of my report and copy was given by the Dr and recommendations for a couple of ,thankfully, minor things. Total cost was 4,600 baht and I was more than happy to find a Dr that speaks perfect English, is a good listener and compassionate, caring person. I have been looking for a local Dr for quite some time that can attend to my requirements without costing me the earth, is familiar with my health, and at 150 baht per consultation I believe I have found one.

Good recomendation from OP - spent last 2 days looking for good medical/dental care.

Dr Morgan has a pleasing manner and glad to have found someone comunicative and clearly enjoys her work. Hope her practice thrives. She is aware of the Thai Visa website.

NB: The red/white (no parking) outside the clinic only applies to rush hour period - so its ok to park outside after 9.30am - look out of the green cross flags shes put by the kerb.

doctor morgan is a very pleasant , listening and understanding doctor with excelent english

so much so that ive canceld an appointment i had in august at chiang mai ram as the doctor theres english was not good

she listens to your problem carefully then asks you general questions about your past medical history to build up a picture of your overall health

she examines you if she needs to and then tells you about the treatment or medicine shes going to prescibe and why.

when i was there last week she had some new flyers printed in english and thai .... here it is in english.

as far as i can see everyone in here is talking about doctors , hospitals or healthcare .

if you need a printer who understands english ..... ive no idea where to look

What a pathetic response to a perfectly sincere helpful comment about the linguistic error in the pamphlet which I hoped the Doctor was aware of. But then, as you say, "there's always one..." It seems you find it difficult to imagine my intention was not to score points. I wonder why. Please don't bother replying.

As previosly posted by us,we have just had our 6 weekly appointment at Dr Morgans clinic and both myself and my wife have had our tablets reduced as our blood pressures and cholestrol have both reduced drastically.Due to Dr Morgan and her treatment and the advice that she as given us over the 18 months that she as been treating us. She is a genuine caring doctor (which is very hard to find in the UK) my comments seem to be mirrored by all who use her practice,before anyone decides to post we have no connection with the practice other than being very satisfied patients.

Perhaps they live in today's world, where e-mail is the quite normal form of communication. Not certain why TV doesn't allow same for businesses, though I can see the reason to protect private individuals from being harassed.

Do you have any evidence to back your rather malicious suggestion that the OP and others are profiting in some way from this clinic's success? Or is your moan just the usual put down of any relative newcomer who dares to give us the benefit of his experience?

It did not come across that way to me at all. It seemed like a genuine recommendation to a health care provider that more than one member have praise for. Unlike a restaurant thread where some members could have shares in the company being 'advertised', I fail to see how this is possible for a physician's medical clinic.

So you should be - whole point of this Forum is for members to pass on useful information to fellow members.

Have found useful suggestions on several businesses/services from recomendations.

No - I dont have any interest in this clinic or any other business in Thailand (and no intention of ever having either) ... making unfounded accusations is out of order - if anything its often better to keep good service a closely guarded secret as if someone good (decorators/electricians etc) become too popular they become unavailable when needed.

For someone who labels thmeselves an 'intellegent member' - you leave a lot to be desired in your negative post.

Too much of CM section of TV is taken up with banal posts about animals, food and spelling Nazi's:- would those who do come accross service worth recomending please continue to do so - even if some BM's here can't appreciate some of us here post in good faith and not out of commercial bias.
