Re-entry Permit Question

Featured Replies

My current stay is valid until March 2010. I am leaving Thailand to visit family in October. Can I get a re-entry permit now before Immigration moves to Laksi? Would a single-entry re-entry permit be valid for four months after issuance?

Your re-entry permit will be valid until March of 2010 the same as your permit to stay.

When you fill out the form you can put any date you want in the spaces for departure and return dates if you want because after they put the stamp in your passport it does not matter.

As said you can apply at anytime and it will remain valid until your current permission to stay ends. Or until you use it.

Usually a good idea to get a re-entry permit, single for baht 1,000 or multiple for baht 3,800, at the SAME TIME you get your extension of visa, the re-entry permit is good until the end of your permit to stay.

It's sore of like insurance, even if you don't plan a trip out of Thailand. If something does come up and you need to go immediately, you've got it. There's several threads here on TV of people who've been caught out at Swampy with no re-entry permits, and had to start over.
