Hi I am an Irish Citizen and had a 30 day Visa Exempt entry for Thailand and extended it for a few days by immigration.....I am now currently in Vientiane Laos as i flew in today and recieved a 30 day Visa...... I was wondering if i am eligible to aquire a double entry tourist Visa from the Thai embassy for i would like to stay a further 6 months in Thailand. Hope for some help thanks

Yes you are. Go to the Thai Consulate and apply for a Double Entry Tourist Visa 2,000 Baht and it will give you almost 6 months with extensions and a border run in the middle.

Apply in the morning . Drink a few Beer Laos and collect your passport the next afternoon.

It shouldn't be a problem, I read a recent report where someone got a double entry, and even one person got a triple entry. Because of the validity date, the double entry is the better deal.

They would quite happily take your money for a 4 or 5 entry. But you would still only get a 3 month validity.
