Disgust At Cat Breeders Neglect.

Featured Replies

my family decided to get a kitten, we contacted scad but they never got back to us so we decided to look online. we found the cat we were lookin for (sphynx) and contacted the breeder, when we asked if we could go and visit the cat in its home, the breeder at all costs would not allow us to go, saying he was out and then his gf was sick and then he would bring it to us in bangkok from chonburi, at first he wanted to meet us in the car park at tesco on nut......when i thought he was f@#$ing around to much i told him it did not matter and to forget about it. about 9.40 pm we got a call to say he was downstairs at our condo, surprised, we allowed him in with the cat and his GF (who by the way looked pretty healthy) the kitten was very frail and looked a bit thin, but also smelled a bit like bad breath. when the children realised he guy was here they were out of bed and pleeding for his cat, tears and feet stamping etc so i finally agreed to take the cat taking its deathly look and smell down to that breed, we paid 22000 baht the guy left and i went to bed leaving the family to play with the kitten.

the next day, wife at work and kids at school i decided to have a play with the kitten, to my horror the kitten seemed to have no control over its bowels at all, so i took it to the vet at thong lo, after 25 mins she told me the kitten had distempa( not sure of spelling) as well as several other conditions and would probably die, furious i called the guy and told him and got the expected response that it was ok when i bought it.

the vet informed me that the kitten had more parasites in its stomach than she had ever seen and its disease had come from eating other cats shit. i told the vet to do her best and left it in her hands, 4 days later the kitten was back home a little bit better and today 6 days later he is a happy, loving little kitten with a very good home.

the cat breeder i purchased this from is advertised on several websites (not thaivisa) please do not even think about buying from him, obviously he is neglecting these kittens and simply using them as a way to no doubt fund his yah bah habbit

i have incuded a picture of the cat for your viewing

what do u think of him?

Hi, well your kitten looks happier now. Keep following the Thonglor Vet advices. They cought him in time. I guess you wont have to look for too much hair lying around!

Good luck,

If you know where the guy lives (or even if you don't) it's little effort to report this story to any Animal Protection NGO operating in Thailand if you have suspicions of neglect, especially as he's running a business from it.

Is this the same bloke that's been asking TV members to carry their animals to Germany, the US and Canada? Hmmmm....

Don't forget to put suntan cream on him if you let him go outside.

I've never touched a furless cat but I remember not really liking the touch of a furless dog.

i suppose they can feel quite strange... i mean hairless pussy' is not for everyone right?

seriously though it feels a bit like a suede shoe

Well at least you won't have to spend your winters knitting little clothes for him!

he's soooooo cute!!!! thank god he made it! u should report the seller to the responsible authorities

I have always read that if a breeder is reluctant to let a customer visit, you should scratch him/her off of your list. A good breeder would welcome visits by customers.
