Multiple Non Immigant O Visa

Featured Replies

Hi, i'm in south Thailand now doing diving on one of the islands, i arrived Bangkok on March 23rd and was granted stay until june 20th (3 months), i'm still doing my diving courses and need to extend it again, can I go to any border and return and get 3 more months? I hear alot about people going to Penang and getting extension for further 3 months? But reading my paper work that I got with my visa it says it's up to the immigration officer if they give you a further 3 months or not. I'll probably be in thailand for a further 6 months as i'm also living with my Thai girlfriend. Whats the easiest solution? Thanks for any help

You need to make a border run and re-enter to get another 90 days. You can fly out and back or just cross at a border and return. You will get another 90 days without any problem for as long as your visa is valid.

You do have a multi entry non immigrant O visa issued by a Consulate less than a year ago? So it is still valid? If you do as said above just exit/return for a new 90 day stamp - no need to go to Penang (which is where people often go to obtain a new visa) if you still have a valid multi entry visa.

Do a border run the day before the Visa expires and you will get another 90 days. Giving a total of 15 months.

Assuming it is a Multi Entry of course.

EDIT.

You do appear to have a Multi Entry Non O Visa obtained from Hull.

As said cross any border, turn round and come back again. You will probably go to Malaysia. No Visa needed to enter Malaysia.

Thanks for the help. Yes my visa is a multi non-immigrant "o" issued from Hull consulate in March 09 and is still valid. So if i'm in Phuket should I just get a flight to Kuala Lumpur and return straight back to Phuket? Is it possible to do it all in the same day? Thanks again

You can do it the same day if you want to.

Air Asia have 3 flights a day so yes you can do that.
