Bring back National Service!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What a load of rubbish - I can think of 20 friends and up to 40 acquaintances that are considered decent, well educated, successfull, non tatoo guy's all of whom hold senior and very well paid positions in multinational companies in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing and Bangkok. All are in their 30's, to my knowledge most have attended state schools (certainly 4 of my friends went private due to their parents wealth) but everyone of them can carry themselves across the full social spectrum without embarrasing themselves. Most of them are English, couple of Scots and Northern Irish lads. In multinational companies, you come across a lot of Brits in Asia that are doing exceptionally well for their age and are as far removed from your stereotype as you can imagine.
