Ubc Tv Programming Sucks

I am very unhappy with UBCTV programming this year. Gone are almost all of the series that I enjoyed...The Agency... The District.. to name a couple, and they are rebroadcasting some (Six Feet Under) from last year! I think we need to let them hear from us or they will not change.

If you are dissatisfied and want your voice to be heard, they do have an email address, (which are not supposed to be posted), but if you know their pathetic website at WWW.UBCTV.COM then you can send them email by substituting [customerservice@] for the [www].

Oh believe me! I have complained to UBC website umpteen times, for various things mainly thier lack of basic skills in putting together the UBC magazine, getting timings of programmes wrong, cutting programmes with adverts and when the programm continues it's obvious a big chunk has been missed.

I told them once outright that I'd be surprized if any of their employees could even get a job at Mcdonalds with the lack of skills they seem to have!!!

I've recieved polite answers but thats about it, although when they re-did the UBC mag layout, over two pages (which was totally crap) I complained and it was back to normal the next month, but then I'm sure I wasn't the only one to flame about it!

I think we should get some of the new seasons of some of the series back sometime this year, I've seen advertising suggesting Nip Tuck is coming back and King of Queens is back on tuesdays now.

But flame away to them, they need to hear our views, were the ones paying for it!!

Perhaps 'Dealing with Thai's' is a topic for another forum, and I have not lived here long enough to consider myself an 'expert'...

But I have found that reasonable, polite, sugguestions generally get better results than a vitrupitive, sacastic one.

I'd suggest that pointing out the changes you'd like to see, with perhaps the hint that it is perhaps no longer worth the money to continue subscribing if the changes are not made, might work best.

I also do not consider a 41+% increase in price for the 'Platinum' subscription, to be a reasonable price for the few good channels that are being added and intend to boycott it.

I do not what % of their subscribers are Farangs, but I think we may be a significant number, and if we raise our objections we may be heard... but it's a tough slog when you are dealing with a virtual monopoly.

Well to be honest I have tried both approaches, politeness and sacasm, neither of which faired any better than the other.

Although perhaps a petition signed by many might get them to think, you could easily do that over the internet (Perhaps on this forum) and then email it on to them, just get each member to put his/her UBC number on it to verify they are a suscriber.

Just a thought, I'd sign It!

The best way to voice your dissatisfaction is to vote with your $$$$ but whos going to give up what little decent TV there is?

For me in the past having UBC has meant football, the odd film on the god awful HBO/Cinemax/STAR movies, the odd doc on Discovery and thats about it, but when I've not had UBC I've missed it like ######.
