hi guys

when i submited the wifes settlement visa in april i didnt include the signed affirmation to marry as signed by the brittish embassy

should i have put this in or not?

didnt think i needed to but just reading some things on the forum got me wondering

never been married before so no need for other paperwork in that department

if i need to sbmit it would my wife have to take it direct to embassy?

i have the original with me in scotland

No your wife only needed to submit your marriage certificate. The affirmation was needed by the Thai authorities to confirm you were eligible to get married.

best of luck thongkorn

best bit of advice i can give you going by my experience in april

if you want a taxi to go to the embassy then the ministry of foreign affairs etc get the addresses translated into thai before you jump into any taxi wasted a lot of time being taken to the wrong buildings

also if you can get to where your going first thing when they open

i found everthing took twice as long as i thought

best of luck mate

Or an alternative is to get the translation company to run it up to the Ministry Of FA - I think we paid a 1000 thb for the service.
