June 13, 200917 yr Could anyone please tell me how long a re-entry permit is valid?????? Thank you so much for your time and cooperation.
June 13, 200917 yr It is valid until the date stamped on it - which should match your permitted to stay until date when it was issued.
June 13, 200917 yr Author It is valid until the date stamped on it - which should match your permitted to stay until date when it was issued. thank u so much for your reply. my visa is valid till july 5th. I can't read Thai, but there's no 5 stamped on there. The only date I can see is 16 which is the date my re-entry permit was issued.
June 13, 200917 yr Author just for clarification: I will have been out of Thailand for over 3 months on the day that I am planning on going back. So, will the permit still be valid for over 3 months??? thanks guys
June 13, 200917 yr Which of re-entry permit doe you have? Single or Multiple. single is valid until the date in the re-entry stamp, Multiple is valid until the date on the re-entry stamp which will be the same date as the expire date of you ( non-O ) visa. It does not matter how long you go out of the country for your re-entry stamp, only the expire date of your visa counts off-course. Edited June 13, 200917 yr by merijn

The only date I can see is 16 which is the date my re-entry permit was issued The validity of the visa you used to travel to Thailand is immaterial. The only thing that matters at this point is the validity period of your re-entry permit. This is what your re-entry permit should look like more or less, depending on the visa you had when you arrived in Thailand and the immigration office where the re-entry permit was issued: In the top right portion there should be the text “valid until” with a date below it. Are you sure you have a re-entry permit in your passport, not something else? Can you scan what you have and post it here? -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
