When getting a letter and bank book update for a visa extension (non imm multi O) I understand these have to be done on the same day. my question is does this have to be done the same day as the extension application, or can this be done the day before?

The day before is normally allowed (or even within the week used to be common). But there seem to be a few officers who will ask for an ATM receipt that day to confirm it.

Suan Plu accepted the letter from the bank dated the day before application. My bank pass book was updated on the actual morning of application. I also stapled an ATM receipt to the copy of my pass book to reconfirm the balance, date and time.
