June 15, 200917 yr I'm having a very hard time translating this address in the correct format. I am sending a mail to this place and I don't know what the English translation is for this place. Because I usually send stuff to Thailand to families and they always give me the English translation one but this is a new place and it is not family but business. And I was hoping that someone in here will be able to give me the correct translation to this place in English. It will be great pleasure! Thank you 17/6 หมู 10 ต.คูบางหลวง อ.เมือง จ.ปทุมธานี 12140
June 15, 200917 yr Author Thank you very much for the translation! I really appreciate it. I have a question about the Amphur and Tambon ones. Is there a possible way that it can be shorten down? Like how it is written out in Thai with one letter. Will the mail still get there if I just put A for Amphur and T for Tambon?

Will it still get there if its being sent from America? Because of course they won't be able to read it if its in Thai. So would I be able to put the main address in English and then put the Thai address somewhere else for those in Thailand?
June 15, 200917 yr "Thanon" should be "Tambon" I think. Yes, it should. Thanks for pointing out the error.
June 15, 200917 yr Write like this:17/6 หมู 10 ต.คูบางหลวง อ.เมือง จ.ปทุมธานี 12140 THAILAND Exactly. The US postal service only needs to know it's going to Thailand. Once it's here, Thai post staff will take over and send it on its way to the final destination.
June 17, 200917 yr LOL @ "หมู" It's "หมู่" which means group. Well, I think you all know what "หมู" means.

June 17, 200917 yr LOL @ "หมู"It's "หมู่" which means group. Well, I think you all know what "หมู" means. Oink! Didn't spot the missing mai ehk there... Still, even with that typo I am sure most postmen would possess the wherewithall not to try to insert your letter into pig number 10 rather than housing compound number 10.
June 17, 200917 yr Still, even with that typo I am sure most postmen would possess the wherewithall not to try to insert your letter into pig number 10 rather than housing compound number 10. sure, they will be fine with the little misspelling. might give them a bit of giggles as well.
June 17, 200917 yr Author Oh! Ok. So that means that I don't even have to bother to have the translated address on my package? I can just have the address in Thai but remember to put THAILAND on the package right? So that the people here know that it should be sent to Thailand. Because I don't know how these stuff work. If I put it all in English then those in Thailand might get confused, and if I put it all in Thai then those here will be confused. Thats why I didn't know how to do it.
June 18, 200917 yr I can just have the address in Thai but remember to put THAILAND on the package right? Yep - that will be the best way.
