Garmin 760 : Which Accessories To Buy

Featured Replies

I'm about to order a Garmin 760. U$189.00 to use in a rental car and on a Yamaha LC 135 (same bike as Helmut)

Which accessories should I order at the same time? ( from Amazon.com)

12 volt charger?

220 volt charger?

What else?

thanks :)

I think your other choice was much better. The CSX 60 is water resistant and shock resistant. I have a Nuvi 750 and no way would I put it on a motorcycle. I have read that the Nuvi doesn't like vibration and is definitely not water resistant.

Seing you are going back to Australia for a while check out the dick smithwebsite. They have it for $388 au,. Free delivery and you get your tax back at e airportif you buy it within the month of your return. Others may be cheaper too. By the time you pay for the Amazon freightand the gst you have to pay in au if it arives other than Australia Post it may be better to do that.

Just do not put it in the washing machine.

I had an eTrex Legend with a memory card. I was quite happy with that cheaper model. I loaned it to a "FORMER" friend of mine. It has apparently found its way to the UK never to be seen by me again. It worked great for the motorbike and was small enough to keep in your pocket for city use or hiking. You must have the eTrex model that accepts the memory card because the internal memory in the basic unit is too small to hold the entire Thailand map.

The eTrex is another Garmin model. I think it will do about everything the 60 CSx will do and it is cheaper.
