Sponsorship Letter.

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I know it's been done to death but as i'm not the sponsor what should I get my Mother to write on the sponsor letter/invitation, she has sent 6 months bank statements, proof that she had a mortgage and proof it has been paid off, photos of my family and all rooms in the house where we are planning to stay, utility bills, phone bills between me and my girlfriend since last November, copy of my Mothers passport. My Mum is going to be supporting her stay of roughly 2-3 weeks, also she will be paying for her flight tickets, will my girlfriend need to show an amount of money in her bank? Or is it not important as someone else is funding the trip? Also my girlfriend should get written permission fromhere employer saying that it's no problem for her to have some time off?

Sorry so much BS in here, very panicky coming up to applying for first VV for my girlfriend. ANyone think of anything missing please let me know.

Thanks alot to anyone.

Might help to mention what countries are involved.

Sorry, its for a Visitors Visa for my girlfriend to travel to UK. For between 2 or 3 weeks. Also looking for a reason to say as to why she want's to visit, as there is no particular reason apart from i've been coming to Thailand for nearly 7 years and would like my girlfriend to visit my Country, meet my friends and family and try and catch a bit of UK "summer".

Sounds like a good enough reason. Highlight that your family would also like to meet her.

Your mother needs to write a good sponsors letter inviting her and confirming she is financing the trip and your g/f is welcome to stay in her house.

You need to write a letter giving a history of your relationship together. It should include your times spent in Thailand and you need to supply a copy of every page in your passport showing all the entry/exit stamps for Thailand to confirm those times you spent there. Include any emails you have and any photos of you together along with any other documents/receipts etc. of your time together in Thailand. Phone bills going back further would help if you have them because it shows how long your relationship has been going on for.

Your g/f MUST show that she has a valid reason to return to Thailand at the end of her trip, so a letter from her employer giving her the time off work for the trip and confirming that she will still be employed when she returns along with the date she's expected to return is vital. Proof of any property she owns in Thailand would also help, especially if she has a mortgage on it.

Not every page of the passport has to be shown just the relevant ones with the entry/exit stamps .

Sorry about my English grammar, by writing "a copy of every page in your passport showing all the entry/exit stamps for Thailand to confirm those times you spent there" I meant copy every page 'that shows' an entry/exit stamp :):D
