Calls To The Uk And Around The World

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anybody recommend the best ways to make multiple calls into the UK and a few other international destinations?

I've currently no land line. Who is the best? Best, not cheapest. Voice quality is important to me as they are business related calls.

Currently using tick dee for mobile calls. (which comes and goes)..............varies allot....

Skype: like they're next door sometimes but most of the time. I can hear them great, however, they either can't hear me at all!

Or I'm told I sound like a robot. Those used to Skype please comment.

They say "you're using it aren't you?"

I retort, "how do you know".

Answer: "you sound like a Robot!"

Thanks in advance

009/8/7 prefix on your mobile.

I guess most calling cards will be VOIP. Or pay the full cost on a landline.

CAT Telecom card, cheap and quality is fantastic, works from a mobile as well......

If you use 007, 008 or 009 (instead of 001) prefix from any landline or mobile phone in Thailand , you will pay about 7 Baht per minute for any call to the Uk, and similar costs to other countries.

Sorry, terra Nova, just noticed that you have told the Op this already.

The CAT Card I mentioned earlier is great, here is a link to the call charges to all countries

UK is 2 baht per minute to landline, and 6 baht per minute to mobile.

i like CAT card also, always a good line, from a mobile as well, 2baht a minute to u.k.land line, 7 to a mobile.

Another available option is from a True Move sim.

Dial 0-6000-2-6000 and press call, then follow the instructions.

UK landline is 2 Baht per minute and UK mobile is 6 Baht per minute.

I do not know the quality of this service.

There is no "the best" service in international calls anymore. You call will inevitably be routed through VoIP at least partway of the connection.

If you have bad quality on your Skype calls, please stop all other activity on your Internet connection, reboot the modem and try again.

I think 009 and 008 are the cheapest and have a lower quality (used to but I don't notice today) than 007, which used to be about Bt10 per minute. I think you can (or could) get the full SP from a website, presumably CAT or linked from DTAC ????

I can't justify the miniscule saving for calling cards and access numbers etc. on the mobile and just use 009.

Thank you all very much for your feedback.

Most useful!

I am with 2 move already and didn't know they had a magic number for the same price or cheaper than cards,

Without the mucking around.

Skype advice is great also.

Thanks a bunch to all on the thread! :)

Best Land line anybody???
