February 17, 200521 yr I am considering selling my house in the UK, but if I do that I will have to clear out the loft as I have a lot of stuff stored there. It is not a task I relish doing on my own, so my thought is to take my 23 year old step son with me to help, and to give him a chance to see the UK. What are the chances of getting a short stay (tourist?) visa for him. How long does it take to process and what are the chances of success? Thanks
February 17, 200521 yr Hi Astral, The length of the process depends upon whether he's granted the visa with or without an interview. Either way it shouldn't take longer than a week or so. His chances of success depend largely upon his circumstances in Thailand. What job he does, whether he can get time off from work, whether he has travelled abroad before, etc. However, his chances should be dramatically improved because he is accompanying you. I presume that you live in Thailand and can substantiate this. You will need to show that you have the ability to cover the cost of the trip too. As a broad statement, without knowing the full circumstances, his chances should be good. Scouse.
