Half Built House Next Tp 99 Karaoke

Featured Replies

Just next to the 99 karaoke on the monkey theatre road is a half built house. It is in a walled compound and looks like it was going to be a very nice house when finished.does anybody know the story ? :) It seems a shame to just leave it as it is getting overgrown with weeds etc. A few pics here

I don't think it's a house.

Money finish?

Some real estate bankrupt?

Pound from 70 to 50 baht?

Problems with the land title?

99 karaoke mafia?

I don't think it's a house.

Its a Tardis..and Dr Whos on the island.......watch out Chaweng for the Daleks :)

Roo the Chinese cemetery is further down the road towards the airport. If you have a good look it just seems the work on it just stopped. it was going to be a two storey building which I would think would be a nice house. Apart from the wisecracks nobody knows anything worth posting about. :)

Ok, that place was being built for over a year , maybe 2.It never looked like it was going to be a house. It 's open plan floor.

I wondered at the time what it was going to be,never had the entrance gates then. So why would you put them on an unfinished building?

I wah, wah, wah, wo-nder.......money to burn?

Why not just stop and ask one of the locals there - they will tell...

Samuian, tried that and got nowhere. I thought one of the long time residents might have known about it. I know I could turn it into a lovely house. Most of the major work has been completed already. I thought it might have had to do with the 99 karaoke being right next door. I had an idea it wasn't there when it was started but suddenly appeared.

Here you go :)

As I remember 2 years ago there was a sign said this place belong to Project Pacific Property.

But there's no longer sign so I guess it's sold.

It was there longer than 2 years.

Could well be, as Sin (Project pacific) is of Chinese descent and the building looks Chinesey to me. He used to live opposite years ago long before 99, not sure if he still does.

regards Bojo

It's been a lot longer than 2 years that this house had it's construction started and it's being build in a typical Thai way, bit by bit, whenever the owner has funds available, it seems. Not sure if it will be a house or different use.
