Tourist Visa For My Gf

Hi all

Thanks for taking the time to read this, i am sure it has been asked, i have read many forums or topics here but just need a little clarification if any 1 can help.

to give a brief detail of my situation my girlfriend and i where living together in Thailand for 1.5 years we rented an apartment for 6 months which we have the signed document for,hundreds of Photo's in different places in thailand, since i have come back 2 months now all emails MSN chats, she will give my bank book for when i was there with her, then after living in the apartment we lived on the Army base as her farther is a mid ranking officer so they had a spare house there. Here in the UK i am with no job and living with my parents at the moment we are looking to get a Tourist visa my mother and father are going to sponsor her so i think we have all bases covered but one. or maybe not?

1. She is not working and finished her Degree about 1 year ago her family has 2 houses and some land but nothing in her name, so one of the requirements is, will she come back? and this is where the problem is.

Any suggestions would be great.

Reason to return is not just ONE of the requirements, if you ask most people who have ever put a holiday visa application in, that is THE requirement that most visas fail on. If you don't have a good reason for this, you may be doomed to failure before you start. Is there any particular reason why she hasn't got a job 1 year after graduating? Can any of the land be put in her name? Does she have any large assets other than land in her name, any substantial financial assets?

She did have a job sorry i should have mentioned it and gave it up about 6 months ago,but as i was there she did not need it and we traveled around a bit hope that helps a little more.

I made successful application in January this year,got 6 month visa at 1st time of asking.All with the help of this forum,i think the main points are,you have to show how you can support her when shes in Uk and she needs a reason to return,land is a good one my wife asked her dad if he would transfer house deeds to her name and he did it no prob.Put in a covering letter with your application and every little thing that puts you together,photos,receipts,flight tickets etc.Also DO the application online,it will save you a lot of time when you get to the application centre.You can download the application from the visa 4u website,it will also give you a better insight into what is required for the application.Good luck!
