Krabi Family Holiday

Featured Replies

Hi Krabi-ites,

I'm a TV member from Chiang Mai and long-time resident wanting to take a family holiday in Krabi in July. I'm looking for recommendations for places to stay that are:

1) On or near Ao Nang or Nopparat beaches (by near, I mean not more than a 5 minute walk)

2) Have 1 or 2 bedroom bungalow-type accommodations, or similar suite-type rooms, suitable for a family of 3

3) Clean, convenient, etc.

4) Below about 3000 baht per day

5) Have a swimming pool

Naturally, we have been all over the web and on the phone, looking for the right place and the best deal, but it makes sense to also ask you denizens of sea and sand as well.

Thanks!

The Sala Thalay Resort is one of the newest built and is on Noppharatara Beach, 5 min walk to Ao Nang but still well away from all the tailors etc.....

It is opposite the beach and has one of, if not the best pools in Ao Nang. They have pool access rooms but not sure if they have villas. It is a superb looking hotel.

If this is no good, www.asiareservations.net seem to have loads of other good hotels etc.
