True Adsl Multiple Pcs

Featured Replies

I have 4Mb True ADSL using the wireless router that they provided. I have 2 laptops and i find that the first one that I use to connect to the internet steals almost ALL the bandwidth with the second laptop having a very slow con. It doesnt matter which laptop i use first, it is always the first to log on that gets all the bandwidth. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

ALso, if I use Bitlord to download files for any length of time, it will block me from surfing using firefox or iexplore. I have to close Bitlord and then I can surf again. Very annoying as Bitlord is not using anywhere near my full bandwidth.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Cheers.

check your computers to see if something is running in the background using bandwidth

throttle bitlord to an up/down limit

how are you determining

gets all the bandwidth

online speed test to check what was happening with the connection when running two PCs.

The problem with Bitlord happens even if I am only using 10% of what should be my available download bandwidth. It just seems to lock out surfing completely which I thought was strange since they use a different port surely?
