I posted a moon photo some time ago, moon was about 4/5ths full. Saw a break in the clouds and clear moon tonight in Chiangmai and thought I would try my hand at it again. This is with a P&S Canon S5IS set to full 12X optical and 4X digital for 48X. Reason for the added digital zoom is due to the extreme contrasts and need to get as much of the focusing frame on the moon as possible or else it has a lot of problem locking plus getting proper exposure time. ISO 125, F3.5, 1/400 sec.

Harder than it looks -- to shoot the moon.

Especially when my tripod has a loose leg and kept "drifting" on me. :)
