July 15, 200916 yr I have no idea what is happening but it's about 4:50am here in Thailand and suddenly my normal nightly download of TV series from European Giganews server, which normaly runs at about 1.8Mb (on my 2Mb connection) jumped to 9.5Mb !!!!! Files just poured into the computer. It was like being back in the UK. I checked my router and it still reported a download setting of 2048 (2Mb) Unfortunatly it's now 5am and the download speed has dropped to normal! But it shows that it is possible! Chris

Chris So finally I know who gets the speed which I'm short of.
July 16, 200916 yr Maybe they installed some kind of cache? Better turn your computer off, you're probably denying a whole province of connectivity!

The increase in speed would be on the local loop in Thailand and to be expected.
