Just lately whenever I try load the BBC.co.uk homepage its really really slow loading...up to five minutes to load. Its the same in Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. I have no problems whatsoever with my setup, I have a fast ADSL connection and all other webpages load in an instant. I thought at first that they might be working on the site, but this has been going on for two days now. Its frustrating as I usually listen to Radio 2 whilst checking out the world news.

Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. :)

Just tried to load from scratch again, the same problem..about three -four minutes to load, clicked on a link and its still loading ...hitting refresh didn't help. Opened another website in a new tab ..Sky News - loaded almost instantly.

Strange.

I tried loading the BBC homepage and it took quite a while (about 20 secs.) However after about 10 secs I also tried loading a BBC programme page from the site (bookmarked) and that loaded within 2 secs, even before the home page finished loading Strange!!!

Webfact, I am using TT&T Maxnet, currently running at 10Mbps. As I mentioned its just the BBC site that is unresponsive.

All other sites are loading instantly. Many thanks for the advice. :)

Intresting to note that not all users are having problems with this site. Guess I'll just try later.

Same problems with BBC mate.

Was fine up until about a week ago.

Seems like we have one common denominator though.

I also use TT&T, so it looks like they are the problem.

why not run a tracert on the site? It might give a hint why this happens.

:) Same

I use my laptop with wi fi in my apartment and sometimes cannot load BBC news/sport at all.

Just returned to my house in the village where I have TOT broad on my desktop and both load up instantly.

Strange one this. At least I am not the only one. :D
